Privacy Policy

AgentsIdle (hereinafter referred to as “this App”) is a menu bar utility that shows the status of local AI coding agent sessions. This App is designed to work entirely on your Mac — it does not collect, transmit, or sell your data.
1. Information Collection
This App does not collect any personal information.
- No account or login is required.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising SDK is integrated.
- No usage data, file content, or agent conversation content is sent to us or to any third party.
2. Data Stored Locally
This App stores its own settings locally on your device, inside the app’s sandbox container:

This data never leaves your Mac. Removing the App removes this data.
3. Local Network Only
To receive status events, this App runs a small HTTP server bound to the loopback interface (127.0.0.1). Requests must present the access token generated by this App.
- Only local processes on your Mac can reach this server.
- The server is not exposed to your local network or the internet.
- This App does not make outbound network requests.
4. Hook Installation
This App does not modify your system by itself. In Settings, it shows a shell command you can copy and run yourself, which installs a small helper script (in ~/.agentsidle) and a hook configuration file for the agent you choose to connect. These files contain only the local endpoint and token needed to report status. You can delete them at any time.
5. Permissions
This App does not request access to your documents, photos, contacts, location, microphone, camera, or screen recordings. The only system capability it uses is the local network server described above, which is limited to loopback traffic.
6. Third-Party Services
This App integrates no third-party SDKs and shares no data with any third party.
7. Children’s Privacy
This App does not collect any information from users of any age, including children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
If this Privacy Policy changes, we will update this document in a future App update. The revised policy takes effect on the date of publication.
